Diptychs

In this assignment, we took two pictures that connected in some way and put them together. For example, my first photo of Nora and Zephy's eyes connect at the nose and they slope together making it look like one picture. Another example is my last one which has wires that connect at the sides of the pictures. I tried to find pictures that I could put together and then take them. Enjoy!

Color Series Final Draft

My Series is working with color. I took a photo that had something with a very bright color and made the rest of the photo in black and white. For example, the first photo was a orange fire-hydrant with the green bushes and a red brick background and made the fire-hydrant the only thing in color. I took two drafts and chose my favorites for my final draft. I hope you enjoy!

In my series I chose to use an application on the computer called iSplash to edit my photos. I take the color picture and change it to make only the vibrant color of it in color.In this Color Series I took my photos in an urban area. I split my photos into two sections: 1) Construction and Geese. 2) The crazy amount of bikes in Amsterdam and other miscellaneous things. I hope you enjoy!

Color Series 1

In my series I chose to use an application on the computer called iSplash to edit my photos. I take the color picture and change it to make only the vibrant color of it in color. In this first series I chose to do nature shots. I went and found my photos out in the world. Enjoy!

Macro Fantasy

In this assignment, we took action figures and toys and set them up in front of a picture in a book or on a computer screen to create a situation. I used my Firefly characters in most of the photos and the dinosaur and frog and cheetah. I tried to make stressful or fun set-ups. I hope you enjoy!

Portraits

In this assignment we focused on the artist, Richard Avedon. We mimicked his style by using a white background and having no "fake" expressions and emotions in our photos. I took pictures of Zephy (who by the way is an amazing model) and I tried to stay in one place for a long time and wait for her to relax. I also edited the pictures to make the white background a little more prominent.

Repetition

In this assignment we had to take pictures of objects repeating. I tried to take mostly close up pictures with a lot of color! Enjoy!
