Song Project

Day 'n' Night
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUvbrY_ec60

I was looking for things that looked out of place or sad. I found a pair of discarded shoes by the bus stop and thought that that would be interesting for my song. The song has a depressing and downcast feeling and I wanted to find things that matched that atmosphere like broken stairs and a locked door with chipped paint. I made my photos sort of charcoaled black and white because the song is dark and lonely and thats what I was aiming for. Enjoy!

Series Project "Best Ten"

I used the HSL Filter on Picnic.com to change the colors of my photos to bring a lighter feel to my work. I tried to make my subjects look alien, but still keep that realness of if I had actually found the subject in the world.

Grids

In this assignment, we were supposed to find pictures that would work well together as a cohesive piece in a grid, diptych, or triptych. We had to do at least three as a story. At first I tried really hard to make a complicated story, but then I realized that I could just do an action, like my brother being weird (in my first picture), or a simple story like Zephy not liking home, but then exploring and going back to the start (in the fifth picture). I hope you enjoy!

Triptychs

This assignment was to make triptychs. See my work below for examples, but I tried to get my pictures to flow into each other because of the attaching lines and other things.
